Chapter 6:
“You!” The captain shouts to a passing by crew member, but still looking straight at Piper.
The crew member comes over immediately and asks how he can be of service to the captain. “Take Piper down to that 6x6 with 1 cell.” The captain orders the crew member.
“Aye, aye cap’n!” The crew member says walking towards Piper.
“Don’t you DARE touch me!” Piper says and her hands are untied and at the ready.
Piper turns and says to the captain “Hah, you need to work on your knot-”
Before she can finish, the crew member comes across Pipers cheek with his hand. “I cannot believe a GUY just SLAPPED me!”
“I’m not afraid to fight a girl.” Says the crew member ready to take on the whole world if he has to.
Piper brings her leg up and kicks him in the side of the leg, just hard enough to make him wince. Now Piper decides to throw a harder kick at him. She brings her leg up and around, starting a full swing, when her leg is right beside him; almost about to kick him, he jumps out of the way. Pipers leg is still doing the full round swing and so it keeps going around, and her other leg starts going off balance and starts coming around uncontrollably. Her first leg has now come down to the ground, the back of the leg facing the deck. And the other leg follows. While Piper is down on the ground from the fall, the crew member swoops down picks up the rope and quickly ties Pipers hands together. “Piper, I don’t know what move you were trying to do there, but you did it wrong.” The man says bluntly as the crew member leads her down to the cell below. After Piper has been taken down the stairs a ski-masked crew member walks by. “B! What took you so long?” The captain shouts at B.
B apologizes for his failure of finding Piper and is ready for any punishment the captain might give him. The captain disagrees about punishing B at the moment, but the captain will not be merciful next time B slips up. B thanks the captain graciously and heads downstairs. B spots Piper being put into her cell and he starts walking over there. Before B gets to Piper’s cell, there is a group of crew members (obviously drunk) and they walk by Piper’s cell teasing her and calling her over with their taunts. Piper stays away and stays on the single bed in the miniature cell. B comes over to the cell and shoos the crew members away. There is one crew member who isn’t listening right away and still stands in front of the cell staring. Piper doesn’t notice until the girl standing there says “Want a beer? It’s a special kind.”
This character is obviously Blythe. Piper doesn’t answer and Blythe walks away glugging down more of her beer as she tries to catch up with the group of crew members. As Blythe leaves B comes and guards the cell Piper sits in. A few moments B stands in front of the cell before the captain shouts “BEN!”
B leaves the cell as he goes upstairs Piper reaches for where her pockets would be when she realizes she has no pockets. She looks around and remembers the tiara on top of her head. She reaches to the top of her head, takes the tiara off and uses it to try to picklock the cell. A moment or so passed with Piper trying to get free when she hears footsteps coming down the stairs, and Piper quickly puts the tiara back on her head. The man coming down the stairs is “The Captain” and he greets Piper with some bad news.
“That young man you were dancing with, fine young man. I think his name was…Billy I’m thinking.” The captain says.
Piper looks at him with no comment and waits for him to continue. “Well, it just so happens that we saw your boy Billy floating in the ocean. My men reeled him in. We checked his heartbeat, pulse, there was nothing, his face was pale……Piper….Billy’s dead.”
